Our course currently consists of American Heart Association (AHA) CPR classes. We currently offer BLS CPR, AED, Heartsaver CPR, Heartsaver First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens and Blended Learning Heart Code (BLS).

The American Heart Association CPR program for the general public includes Adult, Infant and Child CPR and choking procedures as well as training in the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) A course completion card will be issued the day of the program and is good for 2 years.

This is a nationally recognized program that meets the OSHA standard for first aid training. This program has also been approved by the DHR of Maryland. The topics covered include both infant and adult, Good Samaritan, emergency response, triage, patient exam, BSI, bleeding, shock, burns, strains, sprains, fractures, splinting, spinal injury, medical emergencies, asthma, diabetic illnesses, seizure, allergic reaction, stroke, poisoning, poisonous plants, bites, stings, heat and cold and specific body injuries. This program usually takes three hours but can take as long as four hours to complete due to the class involvement and questions. A textbook is provided and a course completion card will be issued the day of the class good for 2 years.

This course is designed for medical care-providers and includes training in both one-person and two-person adult, child and infant CPR as well as choking techniques. Topics include the use of airway devices such as the bag valve mask and various pocket masks. All persons must be able to get down on the floor to perform CPR. There is a 25-question test that must be passed with a minimum score of 84%. This first time program is presented as a blended learning class with Part One taken online at www.onlineaha.org and Part Two (skills portion) taken here at our office.

The occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulation 29 CFR 1910.1030 requires employers to set up an Exposure Control Plan to protect employees from on‐the‐job exposure to blood and body fluids which may contain bloodborne pathogens. This course is designed to provide students with the information they need to protect themselves and others from bloodborne pathogens.
